Pragma has extensive experience providing general Drupal Services for a range of government clients.

Most notably is our long-term engagement (2020 – present) to manage improvements and maintenance of the Cyber.gov.au (CGA) website (Australian Cyber Security Centre). Our most recent work with the ACSC is an uplift of CGA, in which we have built a new GovCMS site from the ground up. This included implementation of a new information architecture, and redesign, migration and publication of content to the CMS.

Problem

This came after Pragma’s evaluation of the current site content, back-end functionality, and user testing identified significant opportunities to reduce site complexity, align with best-practice standards, and significantly improve user experience.

Utilising a multi-disciplinary team, we harnessed the skills of our web developers, content designers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to:

  • Design, test and implement a new information architecture system
  • Research, design and test new page designs for a range of page types including landing, content, listing and homepage
  • Build webforms, quizzes, and interactive functionality
  • Develop of new design system and components
  • Redevelop more than 700 pages to align with new IA and redesigned page types
  • Conduct functional, technical, and user acceptance testing
  • Forklift and launch new website.

Outcomes

This uplift delivered a new evidence-based and user-centred information architecture, improved site content (such as readability, accessibility), and reduced site technical debt. It also significantly reduced site complexity from the developer and content authoring perspective, established best-practice ways of working and content governance, and set the site up for future success.
